Updates

With mass media and mass appeal Marvel has been using other methods other than comic books to showcase their heros. TV shows both live action and animated, movies, and video games have all had Marvel heros in them but what are heros without villians? Here are the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants outside the comic world and into other media outlets...

Movies:
Alright so this one is a no brainer since in the X-Men movie the X-Men fought the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants though in X2 there was no real "Brotherhood" sice Mystique and Magneto were on their own till Pyro joined the show (couldn't we all see that comming?) so we'll concentrate only on the first movie

So the movie Brotherhood didn't have that original of a plan it was a typical comic scheme but it was cool to see the Brotherhood on the big screen (actually i first saw the movie on TV but most saw it first on the big screen). It was the second movie that got me into the Brotherhood though seeing Magneto kick butt was just so cool and that's where my love for the Brotherhood began. Back to the first movie though don't you think that Magneto looks like Senator Palpatine in the Star Wars series? On another side note Toad (Ray Park) was in it playing the part of Darth Maul but as we all know that role only got him one paycheck. The Brotherhood though doesn't get high marks for fashion, Magneto's 30's football player, Mystique's Lil' Kim dress, and Sabertooth's hobo outfit didn't impress me much as their comic attire does.

X3 is comming out in May 2006. Got some new pictures. Lineup will include Magneto, Mystique, Pyro, Juggernaut, Callisto, Arclight, Multiple Man, Quill, and Pheonix. So enjoy, new updates wil be made when more info is in hand.

TV:
Everyone loves to watch (or is it addicted?) to TV and Marvel uses TV to show their heros to the auidence as a whole and get kids (and sadly sometimes adults) to buy their toys. The X-Men have had two TV series the last of which ended in 2003 and each had a Brotherhood in it. In the original series the Brotherhood appeared only in two episodes in the whole five season run of the series while in the next X-Men TV show the Brotherhood had five appearences in the first season. In the second X-Men series the Brotherhood played a much larger role while in the first series the Brotherhood was mostly unofficial, they never mention the term Brotherhood but when you have Pyro, Blob, Avalanche, Mystique, and Destiny working together it's a given.
X-Men TAS:

This Brotherhood was involved in mostly kidnap the Rogue operations and with objectives that weak they never made a big splash in the series as Magneto and his crazy Acolytes would.

X-Men Evolution:
Lost of Brotherhood action in this series. For all four seasons of the show the Brotherhood has a role in and help the X-Men in their final battle. While this "kiddie" version of the mutants made the Brotherhood dumber than they actually are, it is nice to see them in other media besides the movies.
